HEALTH AND SAFETY BRIEFING

A health and safety briefing is an in-person briefing intended to draw attention to reminders and areas of concern in the workplace.  As well as covering off physical health and safety issues a health and safety briefing can be used to:

  • help “set the tone” for respectful workplace behaviours

  • highlight the fact that sexual harassment is not tolerated, and indicate who to talk to if there are concerns

A briefing can be used in a variety of settings, for example:

  • on site at a live music venue to contractors, crew and visitors prior to starting work

  • prior to a studio collaboration, to artists, musicians and technical staff

  • at a workplace conference

The health and safety briefing resource includes guidance on how to frame a health and safety briefing and options for suggested language on sexual harassment.
